Finding Your ROAR
Finding your own voice in this world can be daunting. Once you are pregnant you start getting all sorts of unsolicited advice about pregnancy, labor, and how to raise your children. Do any of these sound familiar?
-Get an epidural as soon as you can.
-You want to avoid all interventions at the hospital, just let nature do its thing.
-Sleep when the baby sleeps.
-Do not go out of the house until the baby is 3 months old.
-You can’t have any coffee, it is bad for the baby (both when pregnant and breastfeeding)
-You need to breastfeed
-You need to stop breastfeeding once they get teeth or you will get bit
-You should wear your baby
-Don’t hold your baby too much or you will spoil them
For every person you meet there seems to be an opinion about what YOU should do during your pregnancy, labor, and when raising your children.
We believe you know what is best for yourself and your family. You have a strong voice inside of you that is ready to ROAR.
The reason we think there is so much advice given around these areas is that everyone has their own experiences and expectations (how often is the advice we hear from someone who has never been in the same spot). We agree there is no one size fits all way to do any of this. We want to meet you where you are and help you nurture and grow your inner ROAR.
