Meet Your Doula
When you hire a Doula you are allowing a person into a vulnerable time in your life.
Letting someone into your space when you are laboring or into your home in those first few weeks postpartum can feel scary.
Who is this stranger who will be witnessing precious moments of your life?
Here is an opportunity to meet the owner of Crossroads Birth Services who is ready to be your labor and postpartum doula.
Mary is a trained labor doula and will be completing her postpartum doula training in less than two weeks. She loves all things related to pregnancy, labor and postpartum periods of a family's life. She feels that families are best able to decide what is right for them when they have unwavering support in their corner. She does not have an opinion as to what is right for you, only you can determine that. She will be there to provide you with educational resources you may request, knowledge of physical support and skills, and to be a safe place to explore the depth of emotions this transformational time brings.
Mary has a diverse background. She has her Masters in Behavioral Sciences with her thesis on Positive Psychology. She has been involved in Emergency Services since 2000. She started teaching Emergency Medical Technicians and CPR classes in 2011. She started her doula training in October of 2014.
Mary's interests outside of birth are just as varied as her background. She is a PADI Master Scuba Diver. She enjoys crafting including crocheting, scrapbooking, and sewing. Her idea of a perfectly relaxing day would include curling up with a good book and a good cup of coffee.
Mary lives in Central New Jersey with her husband, 2 daughters, 2 dogs, and 2 turtles.
